The first incident took place in a Pickering parking lot at 1105 Kingston Road. A black Ford SUV traveling through the lot struck a pedestrian, who was trapped under the vehicle for a period before police lifted it and performed life‑saving measures. An overnight shooting near Toronto’s waterfront resulted in multiple injuries and the arrest of a 25‑year‑old Brampton man. Officers responded at 3:26 a.m. to gunfire in the Polson and Cherry Streets area, where an exchange of shots occurred between the suspect and an unknown individual.
After discharging his weapon, the suspect stole a rideshare vehicle carrying passengers and, while fleeing, struck pedestrians and vehicles.
