Apple's Siri Upgraded with ChatGPT-like Conversational AI Features

Apple's Siri Upgraded with ChatGPT-like Conversational AI Features

AI chatbots have become a go-to destination for daily questions, with both Siri AI and ChatGPT trained on extensive data sets and supporting live web results. This makes them reliable for common queries such as finding recipes, troubleshooting errors, and researching products. However, they may hallucinate from time to time, so it's essential to verify the information they provide.

Siri AI and ChatGPT differ in their tone and approach to everyday queries. Siri AI tends to keep replies straightforward and emoji-free, while ChatGPT often uses humor and emojis. Additionally, Siri AI doesn't ask unnecessary follow-up questions, making conversations brief.

When it comes to on-device tasks, Siri AI has access to system privileges that allow it to set reminders, create calendar events, and adjust settings. It can also process multiple commands at once, making it a convenient option for iPhone users. ChatGPT, on the other hand, has limited functionality due to Apple OS restrictions.

Siri AI processing multiple requests at once

Siri AI and ChatGPT approach personalization differently. Siri AI can access iPhone data such as photos, files, and emails to build a personal knowledge base. However, it doesn't remember previous interactions or conversations. ChatGPT, by contrast, allows users to customize its replies and adapt to their style over time.

Siri AI's voice mode is limited, as it doesn't allow users to interrupt a reply to initiate another interaction. ChatGPT, on the other hand, continues to listen while responding, allowing for more natural conversations. ChatGPT also offers a video mode, which Siri AI lacks.

In terms of media generation, Siri AI can create somewhat realistic images, but they are not as sophisticated as ChatGPT's output. ChatGPT can also generate video, a feature not available on Siri AI.

Siri AI leveraging personal user data

ChatGPT offers advanced tools and features, such as custom GPTs, health analysis, and third-party app plugins, which are not available on Siri AI. However, for many iPhone users, Siri AI may be capable enough to replace ChatGPT for everyday needs.

When it comes to privacy, Apple ensures that Siri AI doesn't use user data to train its models by default. ChatGPT, on the other hand, requires users to manually disable data collection and model training.

Ultimately, Siri AI is suitable for casual users who need a reliable chatbot for quick questions and personal data access. However, for those who use AI for professional work, media generation, or other advanced tasks, ChatGPT may be a better option.
