The Halton Regional Police reported that 11 vehicles were damaged in a suspected hydro transformer fire at the Oakville GO Station on Tuesday at approximately 4:05 p.m.
No physical injuries were reported at the scene, and both police and Oakville Fire attended the scene to respond to the incident.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a hydro transformer arcing in the north parking lot, which is a high-energy electrical discharge caused by insulation failure, contamination, or electrical stress within transformers.

Two of the vehicles were able to be driven away from the scene, while the other nine were damaged to the point that they required towing.
A Halton police spokesperson stated that the fire does not appear to be suspicious, and Oakville Hydro is investigating the incident.
GO Transit staff remained on the scene throughout the evening to help impacted customers returning to their vehicles to get home safely.

The incident has raised concerns among regular commuters, who were shocked to witness the fire and its aftermath.
A social media user who witnessed the incident wrote about the experience, stating that they were in a state of shock after being escorted by police to their vehicle, which was parked in the same lane as the damaged cars.
The user expressed concern for the well-being of those involved and hopes that everyone is okay.
