Manchester United manager Michael Carrick intends to reintegrate Marcus Rashford into his squad ahead of next season.
Rashford was loaned to Barcelona last season after a previous half-season loan at Aston Villa. At Barcelona, the England international recorded 14 goals and ten assists across all competitions.
Barcelona have opted not to pursue a permanent move for the 28-year-old. Rashford is currently with the national team at the 2026 World Cup.

United plan for Rashford to return for pre-season training under Carrick. A departure remains possible only if a top European club submits a formal bid, with no move to Turkey under consideration.
Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan have shown interest in Rashford, though discussions have not advanced beyond preliminary stages.
Rashford had fallen out of favour under former manager Ruben Amorim and struggled for form under Erik ten Hag. Carrick is seen as a figure who could restore the forward's performance levels.

Given Rashford's productivity abroad, his return to Old Trafford offers a measured opportunity to rebuild his contribution to the first team.
