Mondelēz International and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources signed a memorandum of agreement to advance environmental education through animation.
The agreement formalizes a partnership between the snack company and the Environmental Management Bureau, following the release of a new episode of the Filipino animated series “Miming and Friends.”
The series, created by Ramon del Prado and Meryll Yan, has reached its fifth episode, focusing on greenhouse gas emissions and collective action to protect the planet.
The latest episode, titled “The Green House Monster’s Secret,” explores ways to reduce emissions while encouraging viewers to participate in sustainable practices.
Corporate and government affairs lead at Mondelēz explained that the company collaborated with the bureau to produce the episode as part of its waste‑management and sustainability initiatives.
The team shared the script and storyboard with the bureau, which provided input before the creators finalized the episode.
Save Philippine Seas helped simplify complex environmental concepts, making them accessible to a broad audience.
Regional director for the bureau highlighted the partnership as an example of effective cooperation between government and private entities in pursuing a sustainable future.
The episode is now available on YouTube, inviting viewers to learn about environmental stewardship in an engaging format.
Future plans include adapting the series for short‑form video platforms to reach a wider audience.
