Bellingham Slaps Argentina Player Following England World Cup Loss

Jude Bellingham was involved in a heated exchange following England's World Cup semi-final defeat to Argentina.

The confrontation began when an Argentina player reacted angrily, prompting midfielder Nico Paz to step between the two sides.

Nicolas Otamendi then rushed in and pushed Bellingham in the chest, escalating the incident.

England reserve goalkeepers James Trafford and Dean Henderson moved quickly toward the altercation to confront Otamendi.

Bellingham was subsequently led away from the scene by England striker Ollie Watkins.

The midfielder could now face disciplinary action from FIFA ahead of England's third-place play-off.

A potential suspension would rule Bellingham out of Saturday's match against France in Miami.

The play-off is scheduled to kick off at 10pm BST.
