A family’s evening commute turned terrifying at Bond Street Underground Station last Saturday. A simple walk towards the entrance quickly devolved into a shocking encounter with verbal and physical aggression, leaving authorities searching for two individuals.
The incident began when a pushchair accidentally collided with a woman walking ahead. What followed was not an apology, but a barrage of racial abuse directed at the mother, who was accompanied by her two young children and her sister.
The situation escalated rapidly as a man traveling with the woman joined in, unleashing a torrent of hateful language. Then, according to British Transport Police, the woman physically attacked the mother, grabbing her hair in a shocking display of violence.
As the mother attempted to defend herself and her children, the man produced a small bottle, claiming it contained pepper spray. He then discharged the substance towards the family, adding a terrifying new dimension to the assault.
The woman continued her abusive behavior, shouting further insults and making obscene gestures before both individuals fled the scene. Police are currently working to determine the exact nature of the sprayed substance, though the family reported no immediate physical harm.
Police are seeking to identify and speak with Melissa Lively and Philipp Ostermann in connection with the incident. Investigators believe they hold crucial information regarding the events that unfolded at the station.
Lively has publicly expressed strong support for the MAGA movement, once stating in an interview that it transcends politics, focusing instead on “friendships and relationships.” She also described the distinctive “Maga look” among women in the movement as a visual signal of belonging.
Prior to her association with the MAGA movement, Lively was known to have supported QAnon, a far-right conspiracy theory. This history adds another layer to the investigation as authorities seek to understand the motivations behind the incident.
