A quiet evening shattered into terror for a man in South Miami, culminating in a harrowing attack with a machete. The ordeal began with a simple disagreement, escalating into a violent confrontation that left him fighting for safety.
It started at a local restaurant, a date turned sour when a photograph sparked a heated argument. The man confronted his girlfriend, Liz Frechel, about an image suggesting intimacy with another person, leading him to leave her at the establishment.
The following day, attempting a gesture of goodwill, he returned to Frechel’s home to deliver her forgotten belongings – medication, glasses, and a mug. This act of kindness was met not with gratitude, but with a furious outburst.
Once inside the home, the situation spiraled out of control. Frechel allegedly locked him in her bedroom, her voice laced with menace as she declared he wouldn’t be leaving, and that he would face consequences.
The threat quickly became terrifyingly real. Frechel retrieved a machete from her closet, the blade glinting in the dim light. As he desperately tried to escape, reaching for his keys, she swung the weapon.
