The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), a linchpin in delivering Kazakh oil to the world, has suffered its third direct hit. This latest incident involved a drone strike on an administrative building at the marine terminal near Novorossiysk, immediately halting all cargo operations.
The CPC pipeline is a massive undertaking, stretching from the rich Tengiz oil field in Kazakhstan, traversing southern Russia, and culminating at a Black Sea terminal. From there, tankers carry the oil to markets across Europe and Asia, making it a crucial component of the global supply chain.
