The lives of two young women, Chelsea Carlisle, 29, and Amie Pearson, 26, were tragically cut short in a devastating collision on Common Lane in Pleasley. An 18-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the incident, currently receiving hospital treatment for his own injuries.

The pain extends to Amie Pearson’s family, who spoke of a vibrant mother, daughter, sister, and auntie taken far too soon. Her passing leaves behind two young children, one facing life-altering injuries as a result of the crash.

A nine-year-old boy, also traveling in one of the vehicles, sustained serious, life-changing injuries and remains hospitalized. Three men in the other vehicle involved also suffered injuries, two of them critical.

Police are meticulously investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision, appealing to the public for any information or witness accounts. The arrested 18-year-old was taken to the hospital due to injuries sustained in the crash and remains under investigation for causing death by dangerous driving.
