England fan’s £550 tattoo jinxes team with premature victory claim

A England supporter received a tattoo prematurely after misreading the team’s tournament progress while on holiday in Tenerife.

Sean Carrington told friends he would get the unusual ink if England beat DR Congo, only to discover later the celebration was hasty.

He described himself as impulsive, explaining that the longer he considered the idea, the more he would have talked himself out of it.
