A message traced on a flight‑tracking service was generated at roughly 1,100 feet altitude while the aircraft traveled just under 100 knots.
The aircraft involved was a Piper Tomahawk piloted by a flying instructor in his twenties. The flight was conducted as a test after a replacement part had been installed on the plane.
Company officials indicated that the pilot will not face disciplinary action and commended his handling of the aircraft. They noted that the test flight may have left the pilot feeling idle, which could explain the unconventional maneuver.

Although the flight path used to create the message had not been authorized, officials emphasized that executing the maneuver required sustained concentration.
The aircraft has been returned safely to its hangar, and the pilot is currently on scheduled leave.
The incident has attracted considerable public interest, but no further regulatory measures have been announced.
