A 31-year-old Toronto man is facing numerous weapon charges after a firearm was discharged Monday in North York.
Toronto Police said they responded to a firearm discharge call at about 6:30 a.m. in the Millwick-Milvan Drs. area, where the accused allegedly brandished a firearm and shot into the air.
Police said the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim with the firearm and discharged it as well during the alleged assault, narrowly missing the victim.
The Gun and Gang Task Force later executed a search warrant Monday in the Finch Ave. W.-Keele St. area and took the accused into custody. They also allegedly seized a loaded semi-automatic handgun and several rounds of ammunition.
David Dunn is charged with nine offences including discharging a restricted/prohibited firearm recklessly, possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and possession of a firearm/ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.

2ND SUSPECT SURRENDERS IN SUSPICIOUS DEATH PROBE
A 38-year-old Niagara Falls man has surrendered to police after being wanted in a suspicious death probe.
Ryan Maeder, a second suspect sought in the investigation by Niagara Regional Police, was arrested Tuesday at about noon after turning himself in at the service’s 2 District headquarters.
Maeder had been wanted on a charge of indignity to a body.
Christopher St. Louis, 43, also of Niagara Falls, had already been arrested and charged with indignity to a body in connection with the death of a 22-year-old woman whose body was found Oct. 14 at a parking lot in the Main-Ferry Sts. area of Niagara Falls.
Police said the woman’s cause of death remains under investigation.
