A chilling document arrived at the Sonoma County Republican Party headquarters – a twelve-page manifesto brimming with violent rhetoric and explicit calls for war against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
Titled “A Real American Response to Foreign Terrorist Invasions,” the letter doesn’t mince words, advocating for the use of homemade explosives and other brutal tactics to target ICE personnel and their supporters. The author envisions a battlefield scenario, portraying ICE agents as an occupying force.
The disturbing text directly references the recent fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis, framing the incident as evidence of ICE agents’ alleged disregard for human life. It claims citizens, regardless of immigration status, are now in imminent danger from these “domestic terrorists.”
The letter accuses ICE of waging a “foreign invasion-style war” against vulnerable populations – men, women, and children – and demands retribution in kind. It argues that ICE agents must “feel real war,” mirroring the suffering they are accused of inflicting.
Going beyond generalized threats, the document provides detailed, step-by-step instructions for constructing a chemical improvised explosive device (IED). This section, ominously titled “Carrying the War Back to the ICE Invader Murderers and Protecting Our Personnel,” outlines how to create a weapon designed to inflict maximum harm.
The author specifically calls for ICE agents to be targeted with IEDs, run over by vehicles, shot by snipers, and attacked with toxic chemicals. Supporters of the agency are deemed “fair game,” escalating the scope of the intended violence.
Several prominent figures are named within the letter, including Trump administration officials and a Democratic congresswoman known for her criticism of ICE policies. Their inclusion appears intended to further inflame tensions and justify the proposed actions.
The Sonoma County GOP immediately reported the threatening letter to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Department, who have yet to publicly comment on the investigation. This incident arrives amidst a disturbing surge in threats against ICE agents.
The Department of Homeland Security recently reported a staggering 1,300% increase in assaults and an 8,000% increase in death threats directed at ICE personnel, highlighting a growing climate of hostility and potential danger.
The letter itself attempts to distance itself from any official political affiliation, claiming to be the work of a private “patriotic effort.” However, its violent content and detailed instructions raise serious concerns about the potential for real-world harm.
