Supermarkets are gearing up for tonight's highly anticipated World Cup match between England and Argentina, with some retailers embracing the excitement in creative ways.
Aldi, for instance, will not be stocking Argentinian Malbec wine, but it's unclear if this is a coincidence or a gesture of support for the English team. The supermarket chain's decision has sparked interest among shoppers.
Uber Eats took a lighthearted approach, joking on social media that it would temporarily remove Argentinian products from its app in a tongue-in-cheek post. The company quickly clarified that the message was a joke and that normal service would continue uninterrupted.

Other supermarkets are showing their support for England without removing products from shelves. Tesco has transformed its Wembley Extra store into England's "luckiest supermarket" by incorporating wooden touchpoints for customers to "touch wood" for good luck.
Waitrose is also celebrating the World Cup, but has confirmed that its Argentinian Malbec wines will remain on sale. The retailer is instead offering English alternatives, such as fizz, ciders, and beers, for customers who want to toast the home team.
