A tense search is underway for a suspect wanted in connection with a violent double stabbing that unfolded last fall in Toronto’s west end, near Liberty Village. Investigators have released images hoping the public can help bring this individual to justice.

The incident occurred just before 3 a.m. on October 13th, 2025, near Queen Street West and Abell Street. Police reports indicate a vehicle carrying the suspect and another passenger approached a group, quickly escalating into a heated argument.

The suspect reportedly exited the vehicle and physically confronted the group, leading to a brutal fight. During the altercation, a knife was drawn, and two men were stabbed, suffering injuries that, thankfully, were not life-threatening.

The assailant and his passenger then fled the scene in the vehicle. Police describe the suspect as a man approximately 30 years old, standing 5-foot-11 with a medium build and a distinctive black beard. He was last seen wearing a black North Face hooded sweater, black pants, and carrying a black satchel.

Investigators are also seeking information about a dark-coloured Mazda CX9 believed to have been used in the escape. The vehicle could be a key piece of evidence in identifying and apprehending the suspect.

Meanwhile, in Ajax, police are investigating a brazen break-in at a Dairy Queen on Bayly Street West. Just before 5 a.m. on October 15th, 2025, a man allegedly stole cash from multiple registers before fleeing in a silver Dodge Journey.

The suspect in the Dairy Queen robbery is described as a white man, approximately 6-foot-1, with a medium build. He was wearing a black hooded sweater, grey jogging pants, and grey running shoes. Authorities are hoping someone recognizes the individual or the vehicle involved.

Adding to the wave of investigations, Durham Regional Police are also looking into a shooting that sent a man to hospital. The victim arrived at Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering Hospital early Thursday morning with a gunshot wound.

He was subsequently transferred to a Toronto-area trauma centre and is currently in stable condition. The location of the shooting remains unknown, and investigators are working to piece together the events that led to the man seeking emergency medical attention.
