
The hunt is on for multiple home invaders who burst into a Whitby home early Tuesday and threatened a resident at gunpoint.
Durham Regional Police say officers responded to the home invasion in the area of William Davidson St. and Nurse Ct. – northeast of Garrard and Rossland Rds. – around 4:30 a.m.
“The caller reported that multiple males forced their way into the residence and threatened the victim with a firearm,” police said in a statement Wednesday.
The home invaders took off before officers arrived on the scene and the victim was not physically injured.
“At this time, investigators believe the incident to be isolated,” police said.
No suspect descriptions have been released.
Police are asking any witnesses or anyone with video footage that could help investigators to come forward.
