THAILAND'S WINNING COACH UNLEASHED ON PILIPINAS!

A new era is dawning for Philippine women’s volleyball. The Philippine National Volleyball Federation has chosen Tai Bundit to lead the national team, a decision poised to reshape the country’s competitive landscape.

Bundit isn’t a stranger to Philippine volleyball; he’s been a fixture for over a decade. His appointment was confirmed by PNVF President Tonyboy Liao, following the approval of Rebisco’s Jonathan Ng, a key figure in supporting the sport’s growth.

Currently at the helm of the Spikers’ Turf’s Criss Cross squad, Bundit’s track record speaks for itself. He’s a proven winner, a strategist known for elevating teams to championship levels.

The formal approval from the PNVF board is expected to be a mere formality, a swift confirmation of a decision already embraced. Liao intends to secure the board’s endorsement at their upcoming meeting.

Bundit’s journey began twelve years ago, quickly making an impact as the coach of Ateneo de Manila University’s Lady Eagles. During his five-season tenure, he guided the team to two UAAP championships, establishing a legacy of excellence.

His success continued with Creamline from 2017 to 2021, where he amassed multiple Premier Volleyball League crowns. He then transitioned to Spikers’ Turf, claiming another title with Criss Cross, further solidifying his reputation.

He now inherits a program from Brazilian coach Jorge Souza de Brito, carrying the weight of a nation’s hopes. The ultimate challenge? To break the 21-year Southeast Asian Games medal drought, a feat that has eluded the country for far too long.

Bundit’s arrival isn’t just a coaching change; it’s a surge of momentum, a belief that this time, the Philippines can finally claim its place among the region’s volleyball elite.
