LUXURY CAR SCAM EXPLODES: They Stole Your Dream Ride!

A Florida couple is now facing serious accusations, their dream of a luxury car dealership dissolving into a web of alleged deceit. Michael and Emily Lucci, owners of Luxury Auto Source in Davie, are entangled in a criminal investigation that threatens to dismantle their business and their freedom.

The trouble began with a 2020 Nissan GT-R and a suspiciously inflated repair invoice. Authorities allege Emily Lucci submitted documentation claiming over $18,000 in repairs, a figure drastically different from the actual $1,200 bill. This discrepancy sparked an investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) on January 21st.

What started as a single questionable invoice quickly unraveled a larger pattern. Investigators discovered eight other luxury vehicles on the lot with rebuilt titles and, crucially, similarly fraudulent invoices. The scheme allegedly involved manipulating documentation to increase the perceived value of the cars.

The vehicles caught in the investigation represent a stunning collection of high-end automobiles: a Bentley, a Porsche 911, a BMW M3, a Toyota Supra, a Dodge Charger, and a Cadillac Escalade, among others. Each one potentially built on a foundation of false information.

The situation took a particularly dark turn with the discovery concerning the Dodge Charger. Investigators found the vehicle possessed multiple Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs), and its engine was traced back to a car stolen from North Carolina. This revelation elevated the case beyond simple fraud.

According to arrest reports, an investigator concluded that nine vehicles were being offered for sale with titles obtained through “fraudulent or manipulated” invoices. These vehicles were deemed contraband, posing a significant risk to unsuspecting buyers who could lose both their money and the vehicle itself.

Michael Lucci was taken into custody as FHP executed a search warrant at Luxury Auto Source. Emily Lucci later voluntarily surrendered to authorities. Both were released on $30,000 bond, awaiting further legal proceedings.

The case highlights the potential dangers lurking within the luxury car market and the importance of thorough vehicle history checks. It serves as a stark warning to both buyers and sellers about the consequences of fraudulent practices.
