A dangerous game of cat and mouse is unfolding across the Greater Toronto Area as police search for a key suspect in a massive drug and firearms investigation. Christopher Morgan, 27, of Toronto, remains at large, wanted in connection with Project Chatter – a probe that has already shaken the criminal underworld.
Project Chatter exposed a network trafficking deadly fentanyl and illegal firearms throughout York Region and the GTA. The investigation previously led to the arrests of 23 individuals, a significant blow to organized crime in the region.
Authorities seized an astonishing arsenal: 32 illegal firearms and a staggering quantity of drugs, including over 700,000 doses of fentanyl. The street value of the recovered fentanyl alone exceeded $7 million, representing a chilling glimpse into the scale of the operation.
Morgan is specifically accused of trafficking a substantial amount of this highly lethal substance. His continued evasion of police has prompted investigators to seek the public’s assistance in locating him.
A warrant has been issued for Morgan’s arrest, and police have released his photograph, hoping someone recognizes the face connected to this dangerous operation. He is known to frequent areas in both Vaughan and Toronto.
Investigators are urging Morgan to turn himself in and seek legal counsel. They are also issuing a stern warning: anyone knowingly aiding or sheltering him could face criminal charges themselves.
The list of those already facing charges is extensive, totaling 330 criminal offences. Among those arrested are Bogdan Butean, Evan Taylor Lee, Scott McFarlane, Eric Allison, Lucia Stellato, Dwayne Mark Willis, Reon Richie Alexis, and Julien Ragganandan.
Darryl Yong, Daniel Vargas, Shemar Tomlinson, Jesse Boateng, Chloe Mitchell, Olanzo Renardo Nelson, Darnell Wendel O’Neil Garnes, and Nathan Edward Stewart are also implicated. The investigation’s reach extends beyond Toronto and York Region, with arrests made in Brantford, Ajax, and Niagara Falls.
Daniel Salmon, Kijaro Shyheim Kahleil Thomas-Scott, Jayden Williams, Jaeanna Leandra Livingston, Rondell Solomon, Tyler Hutton, and Kara-Leigh Ewin have all been charged as part of this sweeping crackdown. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
Anyone with information regarding Christopher Morgan’s whereabouts is urged to contact the York Regional Police Guns, Gangs, and Drug Enforcement Unit. Anonymous tips can also be provided to Crime Stoppers.
