This is Borgstam’s second visit to Rwanda since his appointment in late July 2024. His first was in October last year, when he met President Paul Kagame at Village Urugwiro, following a trip to DR Congo, where he held talks with Congolese officials.
Discussions with President Kagame at the time centered on the regional security situation.
