BOY SCOUTS CAVE: Pentagon FORCES Major Overhaul!

A significant shift is underway within Scouting America, formerly known as the Boy Scouts of America, following intense scrutiny from the U.S. Department of War. The organization faced the potential loss of crucial support, prompting a series of concessions to address concerns raised by department officials.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth revealed the department had seriously considered severing ties altogether, citing the adoption of what he termed “radical, woke ideology.” However, a commitment to change from Scouting America has, for now, averted that outcome, with a detailed plan for reform now in motion.

The first step involves full compliance with Executive Order 14173, demanding a comprehensive review and removal of any language deemed politicized, divisive, or discriminatory from all organizational materials. Hegseth explicitly stated, “No more DEI, zero,” signaling a firm stance against diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

A merit badge centered around DEI principles has already been discontinued. This move underscores the department’s desire to refocus the organization on its traditional values and core mission, stripping away elements perceived as distractions from that purpose.

Membership policies are also undergoing a fundamental change. Scouting America will now base eligibility solely on biological sex at birth, as indicated on an applicant’s birth certificate, with applications limited to male and female designations. This policy extends to the separation of intimate spaces, such as restrooms, showers, and tents, ensuring they are designated for single-sex use.

In a gesture of support for military families, Scouting America will waive registration fees for the children of active duty, guard, and reserve personnel. This initiative aims to strengthen the organization’s longstanding commitment to those who serve and their families.

A new merit badge focused on military service and honoring veterans will be introduced in partnership with the Department of War. This addition is intended to instill a deeper appreciation for service and sacrifice within the scouting community.

Scouting America acknowledged the changes, emphasizing a renewed and strengthened partnership with the Department of War. The organization affirmed its dedication to serving military families while aligning with the requirements of Executive Order 14173.

The implemented changes focus on reinforcing the foundational principles of Scouting: leadership, character development, duty to God, duty to country, and service. These core tenets are being prioritized as the organization navigates this period of transformation.

The Department of War will conduct a thorough evaluation of Scouting America’s progress within the next six months. Continued support hinges on substantial advancements toward the agreed-upon reforms, with the possibility of funding being withdrawn if expectations are not met.

Hegseth expressed a desire for a return to the organization’s original roots, envisioning a future where Scouting America once again focuses on developing boys into men. The coming months will be critical in determining whether that vision can be realized.
