A 44-year-old man from Pinner has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and possession of a bladed article following a double stabbing in west London on Sunday.
The incident occurred on Uxbridge Road in Hayes, where a 24-year-old woman had just given birth and was killed after being stabbed. A man in his 20s was also injured in the incident and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The woman, who has been named as Kirandeep Kaur, was a new mother who had recently given birth. Her family described her as a "wonderful mother" and expressed their heartbreak at her loss.

The incident led to a huge emergency response on the high street, with a forensic tent set up at the scene. The west London road was cordoned off on Sunday after the double stabbing.
The suspect, Daniel Sean James, is due to appear at Willesden Magistrates' Court this morning to face charges of murder, attempted murder, and possession of a bladed article.
The family of the victim has been left devastated by her loss, with a family friend describing her as a "mum and a very nice person, really lovely." The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, and an investigation is ongoing.
