Ahead ofStranger Things‘ fifth and final season, some fans have confessed that they are horny for “daddy” Vecna, and Vecna himself, a.k.a. Jamie Campbell Bower, seems to approve.
Netflix’s hugely popular sci-fi horror has followed the turbulent tale of teenagers fighting against evil powers. Though many are rooting for the on-paper heroes of this story, some have the hots for the show’s nastiest villain: Vecna.
“Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna,” the official season 5 synopsis reads. “But he has vanished, his whereabouts and plans unknown.
“As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming, and, with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone standing together, one last time.”
Vecna may be an evil character, but that doesn’t stop some viewers from thirsting after the monstrous being from Dimension X/ The Upside Down.
Vecna was originally Henry Creel (Jamie Campbell Bower), a human who killed his family with his telepathic powers. He was banished to the Upside Down and became the realm’s ruler.
The character was first seen last season, but he’s been secretly pulling the strings throughout the show. In season four it was revealed Creel/Vecna had been behind all the evil events, beginning with the disappearance ofWill Byers(Noah Schnapp).
You’d think the fact that Vecna is a skinless, demonic figure with no nose would turn most people off, but not some particularly thirsty fans. Back in 2022, when season four aired, people started referring to him as “daddy Vecna“, and it seems that unsettling thirst – for a creature that’s basically a fleshless, noseless anatomy diagram with the power to turn teenagers inside out – is yet to die.
On October 25, aStranger Thingsupdate account shared an image of the event decorations in Italy, which consists of a giant Vecna sculpture with its chest cavity acting as an entryway.

“Catch mehumpin it” @Creelslut posted in response to the image. The X account Creelslut is dedicated to the Vecna fandom. Their bio reads: “#1 creelson truther! henry creels boyfriend.”
Somewhat unbelievably, Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays Henry Creel/Vecna actually responded. He replied to the post with a hilarious reaction gif, knowingly smiling.
The original poster replied to his reply: “OH NO.”
Bower followed up: “OH YES.”
The back and forth continued with the poster writing: “GET OUT OF MY HOUSEEEEE.” Alongside a gif of Dance Moms’ legend Abby Lee Miller looking panicked.
Bower ended the conversation with: “Sorry, I’ll let myself out. Night night.”

@Creelslut was not alone in the thirst for Vecna. One fanreplied: “Listen… they present here an option to be inside Vecna and expect us not to act like this?”
Anotherwrote: “The vecnussy.”
Someone else pointed out that Vecna is one of many “hot Netflix dual-identitiy monster villain that I’m in love with.”
Stranger Thingsseason five will consist of eight episodes and is set to be released in three parts on Netflix.
The first four episodes will premiere on November 26. Three more will air on Christmas Day.
The final two-hour special is due to drop on New Year’s Eve.
