The heartbreaking incident occurred on November 6th, as Melody rode her scooter with her mother along North Service Road. An SUV unexpectedly left the roadway, striking both of them near Lindsay Drive.

Halton Regional Police have charged Ajai Rana, 47, with dangerous operation of a conveyance causing death. The legal process will unfold, but nothing can diminish the profound loss felt by all.
