Vicky Pattison harbors a playful secret, a little white lie that’s grown over the years – concerning her husband Ercan Ramadan’s age. The revelation came during a recent episode of her podcast, “Get A Grip,” sparking laughter and a touch of exasperation from Ercan himself.
It all began back in 2019, when the press initially misreported Ercan’s age. Instead of correcting the mistake, Vicky confessed she simply…let it stand. “They were like: ‘He mustn’t be 25, he must be 35, right?’” she recounted to co-host Angela Scanlon, a mischievous glint in her voice.
The lie snowballed. Now, according to public perception, Ercan is a full eight years older than he actually is. “I’ve never fking told them they’ve got it wrong,” Vicky admitted, dissolving into laughter with Angela. “So now, they think he’s 42.”
Ercan, however, isn’t amused. He’s reportedly “fuming” at the continued misrepresentation, particularly when seeing headlines proclaiming “Vicky Pattison who married her long-term fiancé Ercan Ramadan, 42, in a ceremony in Puglia.”
The couple officially tied the knot in August 2024, first with a low-key ceremony at London’s Marylebone Town Hall, followed by a lavish celebration in Italy, documented in her Channel 4 series, “Vicky Pattison: My Big Fat Geordie Wedding.”
Vicky playfully defended her deception, while Angela jokingly commented on a video of their conversation, quipping, “Wicked bit of kit for 54!” Ercan himself chimed in online, pleading, “Taking liberties now. Tell them my real age god dammit hahaha.”
The confession came amidst a busy time for Vicky, who is currently competing on “Strictly Come Dancing.” Paired with Kai Widdrington, who shares Geordie roots, she’s been navigating the demanding world of ballroom dancing.
Despite a challenging week that placed them at the bottom of the leaderboard, Vicky continues to embrace the experience. The “Strictly” results show airs tonight, leaving fans eager to see if she and Kai can climb the ranks.
