A disturbing incident at a London Tube station has sparked a police investigation, focusing on a prominent Trump supporter and her partner. Authorities are seeking to speak with Melissa Rein Lively, a public relations executive, and Philipp Ostermann, a venture capitalist, following allegations of racial abuse and assault.
The incident unfolded on October 11th at Bond Street Underground Station. A woman pushing a stroller was allegedly subjected to a barrage of racial slurs after a minor collision. The situation escalated when a man accompanying the suspect allegedly pepper-sprayed the victim and her family, including two young children and her sister.
British Transport Police (BTP) released images of the pair, appealing to the public for information. However, a swift turn of events revealed that both Lively and Ostermann had already left the United Kingdom – Lively on October 24th and Ostermann earlier on October 14th, before the public appeal was even made.
Melissa Rein Lively is a complex figure, known for her fervent support of the “Make America Great Again” movement and her distinctive, carefully curated image. She has openly discussed the importance of appearance within the movement, citing Ivanka and Lara Trump as role models and detailing a rigorous self-care routine.
Her past is marked by a dramatic departure from the QAnon conspiracy theory movement, a world she now describes as a destructive cult. In a candid interview, Lively revealed the experience left her suicidal and feeling as though “20 years” had been stolen from her life, requiring psychiatric care.
Lively previously sought a high-profile position as White House spokesperson during a potential second Trump term, and gained notoriety for a viral video showing her destroying a face mask display – earning her the nickname “Rolex Karen.”
Ostermann, meanwhile, was scheduled to participate in a private equity conference near Heathrow just days after the alleged incident. He is associated with a Munich-based private equity firm with international offices.
Despite leaving the country, police continue their efforts to make contact with Lively and Ostermann. They believe the pair may hold crucial information regarding the events at Bond Street station and are determined to pursue the investigation.
The BTP is actively seeking any information from the public that could assist in their inquiries, urging anyone with details to come forward. The family involved in the incident is being kept informed of the investigation’s progress.
Lively recently posted a photo on Instagram from outside Sotheby’s on Bond Street, wearing the same clothing as in the police-released images, with the caption “With love from London.” She has since deleted her account.
