Marriott is one of the world's largest hotel companies, boasting a portfolio of over 9,000 properties across 38 brands in nearly 150 countries. Its loyalty program, Marriott Bonvoy, offers a range of ways to earn and redeem points for stays around the globe.
However, redeeming points for free nights may not be the only option. Marriott Bonvoy's Moments platform provides members with the opportunity to book curated packages using their points, covering culinary, entertainment, sports, art, and lifestyle experiences. These packages can be a once-in-a-lifetime experience and are available for a set number of points or through live auctions.
The Moments platform offers three main categories of packages: fixed-point redemptions, live auctions, and 1-point drops. Fixed-point redemptions are available for a set number of points, while live auctions allow members to bid a set number of points, with the highest bidder winning the package. 1-point drops are limited packages available for just one Marriott point. In some cases, packages can be a combination of these categories.

For example, a new package will be launched on July 28, offering a private Myles Smith performance in New York City. There will be 100 packages available at one point, while eight will be auctioned off. Select packages are exclusive to Ambassador Elite members, while others are limited to specific credit card holders.
My experience at the World Cup provides a firsthand look at the value of the Moments platform. Marriott offered dozens of packages across the 100+ games, and I was fortunate enough to take in the U.S.-Australia game in Seattle, including a two-night stay at the CitizenM Pioneer Square. The seats provided by Marriott's package were in the lower level and offered a great view of the field.
The Moments platform offers a range of current and upcoming packages, including curated beverage experiences, luxury suites at top concerts, and high-end culinary packages. For example, you can enjoy a gastronomy adventure in Kyoto or indulge in a tasting menu at Michelin-starred Joel Robuchon in Las Vegas.

Upcoming packages include Formula 1 releases, with a handful of exciting packages coming in the next few weeks. The Dutch Grand Prix comes first, with four packages launching on Monday, July 20. Then there are seven packages for the Madrid Grand Prix that'll go live on Monday, August 10.
Marriott Bonvoy offers much more value beyond free nights in its global portfolio of hotels. With the Moments platform, travelers can unlock some incredible redemptions – whether it's a concert, sporting event, culinary experience, or more. I was fortunate enough to experience this firsthand at the 2026 World Cup.
