A brazen daylight attempt to steal a pair of skates escalated into a frightening ordeal in downtown Toronto last week, prompting a police search for three suspects.
On December 17th, at approximately 4:40 p.m., officers responded to a call from a store near Dundas Street West and Bay Street, where a robbery was in progress.
According to police reports, the three individuals were challenged by store security, leading them to abandon the skates and, shockingly, brandish a firearm before making a swift escape.
Investigators have released detailed descriptions of each suspect to aid in their apprehension. The first is described as being between 5’8” and 5’10”, with a slim build, weighing between 100 and 120 pounds, and sporting unshaven facial hair.
This individual was fully concealed by a balaclava, and wore a black jacket, black jeans distinguished by white lettering on the right leg, and black shoes with white trim. Crucially, they were seen carrying a black firearm.
The second suspect is approximately 5’7”, with a muscular build and weighing between 150 and 170 pounds. He also wore a balaclava, along with a black hoodie and a black puffer jacket, paired with black track pants, black shoes with white socks, and a black backpack.
The third suspect stands between 5’9” and 5’10”, with a medium build and weighing between 130 and 140 pounds. He is identifiable by his black short twists, black goatee, and a distinct scar located beneath his right eye.
This individual’s clothing included a black hoody bearing the white lettering “Get on my LVL”, a black puffer jacket, black pants, and white runners, and he was also carrying a black backpack.
