Lampard AXED! Fans RIOT as ITV Pulls the Plug!

A chapter is closing for Christine Lampard as she prepares to leave a beloved ITV daytime show. The broadcaster has announced significant changes to its weekday programming, initiating a period of restructuring and difficult decisions across the board.

The popular program *Lorraine* will be dramatically scaled back, reduced from a full hour to just thirty minutes. Beginning in January 2026, it will transition to a “seasonal basis,” airing for only 30 weeks of the year, with *Good Morning Britain* expanding to fill the 9-10am slot for the remainder.

This overhaul means a farewell for familiar faces, including Christine Lampard and Ranvir Singh, both of whom have graced the *Lorraine* set as Friday presenters for nearly a decade, stepping in for the show’s main host, Lorraine Kelly.

Christine herself shared a poignant video tribute, a heartfelt montage of her time on the show set to The Kinks’ “Days.” Her accompanying message spoke of laughter, shared lunches, and invaluable lessons learned alongside colleagues who became cherished friends.

“As many of the team enter a new world in 2026, I want to thank every single person,” she wrote, expressing her deep affection. “I love you all! It has been the best of times.”

The news resonated deeply with viewers, many taking to social media to express their disappointment and praise for Christine’s presenting style. Some hailed her as “the best presenter on TV,” lamenting that they only tuned in when she was hosting.

Speculation is already swirling about Christine’s next move, with some fans enthusiastically suggesting she would be a perfect fit to host *Strictly Come Dancing*, following the recent departures of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.

Dr. Hilary Jones, the show’s long-standing resident medic, is also preparing to depart at the end of the year. He described the change as “liberating,” anticipating the freedom to explore new opportunities while potentially returning as a guest.

He acknowledged the sensitivity surrounding the changes, noting that many colleagues are being redeployed or facing job losses as ITV navigates a period of necessary adjustments.

Lorraine Kelly herself has expressed sadness over the impact of the cuts, particularly the loss of valued team members. While acknowledging the inevitability of change throughout her career, she emphasized the profound disappointment of seeing a strong team dismantled.

“The thing that has upset me the most is the fact that we’ve got this great team, and obviously, that’s not going to be in place next year because jobs will go,” she shared. Her priority now is to retain as many of her colleagues as possible, recognizing the deep sadness the changes have brought.
