TEXAS TEEN NIGHTMARE: Body Found, Another Vanishes—Is a Predator on the Loose?

A chilling discovery unfolded Tuesday evening in Bexar County, Texas, as authorities continued their desperate search for missing teen girls. The area is gripped by fear following a cluster of disappearances, all occurring within a single, unsettling week.

The grim find – a body located in a field – occurred during the intensive search for 19-year-old Camila Olmos. While hope remains for her safe return, investigators are proceeding cautiously, acknowledging it’s too soon to confirm the identity of the remains.

Sheriff Javier Salazar revealed the body was discovered around 4:40 p.m. by a combined team of sheriff’s deputies and FBI agents. The location, a secluded area of tall grass near a landscaping business, was disturbingly close – just a few hundred yards – to Olmos’ home.

A recovered firearm near the body has become a focal point of the investigation. Authorities had previously identified a weapon as an item of interest during the extensive search efforts, adding another layer of complexity to the unfolding situation.

While investigators are not immediately classifying the death as a homicide, Sheriff Salazar indicated preliminary evidence suggests the possibility of self-harm. He firmly stressed, however, that any conclusions are premature, pending a thorough examination of the scene and the medical examiner’s report.

Camila Olmos was last seen leaving her home on the morning of December 24th. Her disappearance coincided with the reports of two other missing girls in the same region, amplifying the community’s anxiety.

Fourteen-year-old Sofia Gabriela Peters-Cobos has thankfully been found safe, offering a small measure of relief. However, the search for 17-year-old Angelique Johnson continues, leaving her family and friends in agonizing uncertainty.

Despite the proximity of the cases, law enforcement officials have stated there is currently no confirmed connection between the disappearances. Each investigation is being pursued independently, yet the shared location and timeframe fuel public concern.

The Clear Alert for Camila Olmos has been deactivated, but authorities are urgently requesting anyone with information regarding any of the cases – particularly the whereabouts of Angelique Johnson – to immediately contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation remains active and fluid, with authorities meticulously gathering evidence and pursuing every possible lead in hopes of bringing answers and closure to the families involved.
