The 2025 PokerGO Tour culminated in a stunning victory for Chad Eveslage, who conquered a field of 54 players to claim the championship title and a remarkable $500,000 prize.
Eveslage isn’t a newcomer to high-stakes success; a seasoned professional, he already boasts four World Series of Poker bracelets and, by July of this year, had amassed over $10.6 million in career earnings.
His 2025 season was particularly impressive, highlighted by a $1,200,000 win at the Super High Roller Bowl Mixed Games, alongside consistent strong performances in PGT-qualifying events.
Eveslage entered the championship with 1,423 PGT points, navigating the competition with calculated precision. He reached heads-up play against Andrew Lichtenberger after a decisive elimination of Michael Wang in third place, holding a commanding chip lead of more than 4-to-1.
The final hand saw Eveslage’s pocket jacks triumph over Lichtenberger’s eight-six, securing his place among an exclusive group of PGT champions.
However, the spotlight didn’t end there. Alex Foxen was crowned PGT Player of the Year, a title he clinched with a dominant performance throughout the season.
Foxen needed only a fourth-place finish or better in the final event to surpass Sam Soverel, but he exceeded expectations, winning the event outright for $232,400 and solidifying his position at the top.
Accumulating an impressive 3,134 PGT points, Foxen’s season included five tournament victories, 27 cashes, and total earnings exceeding $6.27 million, earning him a $50,000 bonus.
With the 2025 season now in the books, the PokerGO Tour is already looking ahead to 2026, kicking off this month at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas.
The action continues with the PokerGO Cup Showcase, scheduled to begin on March 1st, also held at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada.
