Katie Price is facing renewed criticism over her treatment of animals after a former partner of Lee Andrews claimed the couple abandoned a recently purchased dog.
Weeks after Andrews was released from prison in Dubai, the pair signed paperwork for a male Pomsky—a Pomeranian-Husky cross—costing £2,000.
The purchase drew immediate backlash given Price’s contested history with pet ownership, which included a missing cat at the time of the transaction.

Dina Taji, one of Andrews’ former wives, states the dog was left abandoned and ultimately taken in at her cat rescue shelter in Dubai.
Taji posted that she had to collect the animal to keep him safe after Andrews returned to custody roughly one month following his release.
She shared footage explaining she needed to act because the owner was jailed, without naming Andrews directly.

Taji said she received messages urging her to send the dog to the UK, presumably for Price, but declined without verifying the request’s legitimacy.
She emphasized that her priority is the animal’s welfare and that she must confirm any recipients are reliable and non-abusive before relinquishing care.
Price’s record with animals has drawn formal concern, including a five-figure offer from an animal welfare group urging her to stop acquiring pets.

A welfare representative previously said Price replaces animals as casually as clothing and questioned how many must suffer before a ownership ban is imposed.
The same group reaffirmed an offer of £5,000 for her to cease collecting animals, citing the puppy and her existing cats as at-risk cases.
Taji and Price reportedly met while Andrews was imprisoned, after Taji took legal action against him over an alleged unauthorized mortgage in her name.

Andrews was re-arrested last week and is now detained alongside his father in the same Dubai facility.
A source familiar with the situation said both men remain incarcerated, with Andrews maintaining innocence and seeking funds to leave the country.
The source added that Price is in the UK launching a docuseries and defending the marriage, though friends have urged her to distance herself from the ongoing turmoil.
