WALZ SCANDAL: $4 MILLION TAXPAYER DOLLARS FUNDED A FAKE DAYCARE?!

A Minnesota daycare center, allegedly receiving $4 million in state funds, has become the focal point of a growing scandal, sparking outrage and a demand for answers from a high-ranking member of the House of Representatives.

The controversy erupted after a YouTuber visited a Minneapolis location identified as the Quality Learning Center, documenting a misspelled sign – “Learing” instead of “Learning” – and a distinct lack of activity despite the substantial public funding.

The video quickly went viral, adding fuel to a fire already burning within the state government regarding alleged fraud within social services programs, potentially exceeding a staggering $1 billion.

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer publicly challenged Governor Tim Walz, questioning the allocation of “hard-earned tax dollars” to a center seemingly unable to perform a basic task like spelling correctly.

Records reveal the Quality Learning Center accumulated 95 violations between 2019 and 2023, ranging from unsafe storage of hazardous materials to a complete absence of records for numerous children purportedly enrolled.

During the YouTuber’s visit, a woman emerged from the building and urgently warned those inside not to open the door, fearing they were immigration enforcement agents – a reaction that raised further questions about the center’s operations.

The woman vehemently defended the center, dismissing the concerns about the misspelling and the large sum of money received, while simultaneously requesting the visitors leave the premises.

According to state records, the center is registered to care for 99 children, yet the YouTuber found the facility seemingly empty, reinforcing suspicions of fraudulent activity.

This case is being viewed as a microcosm of a larger problem, with accusations of widespread fraud targeting the Minnesota Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) and other state initiatives.

Federal authorities, including the Treasury Department, are now involved, investigating claims that a portion of the misappropriated funds may have even reached the hands of a Somali terror group, Al-Shabab.

The most prominent entity under investigation is Feeding Our Future, a child nutrition program, but numerous other CCAP recipients are facing increased scrutiny.

Attempts to contact the daycare center directly were unsuccessful, met with an automated message, while requests for comment from Governor Walz and the state’s Attorney General remain unanswered.

The unfolding investigation has ignited a debate, with some observers suggesting that questioning these programs is met with accusations of targeting specific communities.

U.S. Attorney Joseph Thompson has indicated the full scope of the fraud could surpass $1 billion once all investigations are complete, painting a grim picture of financial mismanagement within the state.
